About Me

I bring creative vision and technical execution together, helping teams deliver seamless experiences that delight users and last over time. This means collaborating closely with designers and developers to translate concepts into polished, accessible products. I focus on crafting clean, maintainable code and building scalable systems that make design and development feel like one smooth process.

I’ve always been drawn to both art and technology. Growing up, I’d lose hours immersed in sketching, painting, and shaping things out of clay. At the same time, I was equally drawn to my computer—exploring software, navigating the early internet, and developing my skills in digital design.

In college, everything clicked when I took my first computer science class and realized I could use code to draw—bringing interfaces to life on screen. I went on to design my own major in Computing and Media Arts—not just to study visual art and computer science side by side, but to deeply explore how they could work together.

Since then, I’ve been carving out roles at that intersection—first at NOLS, where I created their first hybrid design/development position and built their design system, and then at Shopify, where I worked on Polaris, one of the world’s leading design systems. Learning to code gave me a whole new way to bring ideas to life, and I still feel lucky to do exactly that every day.

I'm passionate about using design and code to help mission-driven organizations tackle complex, real-world problems. I thrive in roles that live at the intersection of design and development—where I can focus on building beautiful, functional interfaces and translating design vision into polished user experiences.

What energizes me most is collaborative work where design and engineering teams work closely together, sharing knowledge and iterating on solutions. I'm drawn to environments that prioritize psychological safety, celebrate collective wins, and foster genuine connections between teammates. I value companies that invest in their people's growth and recognize that the best work happens when teams support each other rather than compete against one another.

I'm particularly excited by opportunities to contribute to design systems and component libraries—work that empowers entire product teams to build more consistent, accessible experiences efficiently. There's something deeply satisfying about creating foundations that other teams can build upon, knowing that thoughtful systems work has a multiplying effect across an organization.

Outside of work, I’m usually outside! I love hiking, mountain biking, skiing—pretty much anything that gets me moving and into nature. When I’m indoors, I’m often making something by hand, playing a board game with friends, or listening to a good audiobook.
